<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear power plant in which a circulation water pump and a turbine auxiliary machine sea water pump of a plant active system which become an obstacle for the securement and maintenance of a nuclear reactor cooling function at the occurrence of a large-scale tsunami accompanying a large-scale earthquake, can be surely stopped.SOLUTION: The nuclear power plant includes: a circulation water pump 120 for pumping seawater from intake channels 102, 104 and for supplying the seawater to a steam turbine condenser as cooling water; a turbine auxiliary machine cooling seawater pump 122 for pumping the seawater from the intake channels and for supplying the seawater to an auxiliary machine 210 inside a steam turbine building 200 as the cooling water; and a control device for stopping the circulation water pump and the turbine auxiliary machine cooling seawater pump when a stop expected time of the circulation pump and the turbine auxiliary machine cooling seawater pump is later than an expected tsunami arrival time at the occurrence of a large-scale earthquake.</p> |
