PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter cloth for a dust catcher which has both of a high dust collection efficiency and a low pressure loss as well as excellent durability.SOLUTION: In a filter cloth 1 for a dust catcher, a fine fiber layer 20 is formed by a fine fiber 21 which is finer than a fiber of a filtration fabric base material 10 on a filter surface 10a side of the fibrous filtration fabric base material 10. The fine fiber layer 20 is formed in the interior of the filtration fabric base material 10 on the filter surface 10a side (the interior of a web layer 12), or from the filter surface 10a to the interior of the filtration fabric base material 10, and has a network structure which is finer than the filtration fabric base material 10, whereby the fine fiber layer 20 functions as a surface filtration layer. The fine fiber layer 20 is thinned on only the filter surface 10a side, and therefore has a low pressure loss. Further, the fine fiber layer 20 has a small pore size and therefore has an improved dust collection efficiency, whereby both of an enhanced dust collection efficiency and a reduced pressure loss can be achieved. |
