The present invention relates to an electrode assembly having improved stability and a fabricating method thereof capable of reducing shrinkage factors of separation films. An electrode assembly having improved stability according to a preferable embodiment of the present invention comprises a unit body stack unit having (a) a structure in which one kind of basic unit bodies are repeatedly arranged, wherein the basic unit bodies are prepared by alternately arranging electrodes and separation films of the same number to be integrated or (b) a structure in which at least two kinds of basic unit bodies are arranged according to a predetermined order, wherein the basic unit bodies are prepared by alternately arranging electrodes and separation films of the same number to be integrated. Each of one kind of the basic unit bodies in the structure (a) has a four-layered structure in which a first electrode, a first separation film, a second electrode and a second separation film are sequentially arranged or a structure in which four-layered structures are repeatedly arranged. When the at least two kinds of the basic unit bodies in the structure (b) are arranged one by one according to a predetermined order, a four-layered structure or a structure in which four-layered structures are repeatedly arranged, is formed. The separation film has a larger size than the size of the electrode such that the edge of the separation film is exposed to the outside of the electrode and the separation film. Edge parts of separation films included in one unit body are attached to form a sealed part, or edge parts of separation films included in a unit body stack unit are attached to form a sealed part. |
