PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device capable of selecting an optimal handover destination from a plurality of communication networks to perform handover, and a control method of the radio communication device. ! SOLUTION: A radio communication device includes: a radio transmission/reception unit that can be connected with a plurality of communication networks, and can detect a plurality of connection parameters indicating a state of connection for each of the communication networks; a connection level calculation unit that calculates connection levels of the plurality of communication networks by using the plurality of connection parameters and an expectation value of the connection parameter according to an application to be used; and a control unit that selects a communication network with which to communicate on the basis of the connection levels. !
