The present invention relates to a process for preparing a nanocomposite comprising a polyolefin composition and at least 0.001 % by weight of nanoparticles, wherein the nanoparticles are selected from carbon nanoparticles, silicon nanoparticles, or SiC nanoparticles, relative to the total weight of the nanocomposite, said process comprising the steps of: (a) mixing the nanoparticles, the polyolefin composition and a dispersant; and (b) subsequently removing the dispersant to obtain the nanocomposite; wherein the dispersant comprises supercritical C02.
