The present invention provides a paint composition for simultaneous detection of acid and base for easily confirming, with naked eyes, a leaking part of manufacturing equipment in a factory or a plant for storing and using a strong acid material or a strong base material, and a method of preparing the same. More particularly, the paint composition for simultaneous detection of acid and base according to an embodiment of the present invention includes 82-90 wt% of an aqueous emulsion, 4-10 wt% of a toughening agent, 0.5-2 wt% of an acid-base indicator, 0.5-2 wt% of a defoaming agent, and 1-4 wt% of fumed silica. An acid material or a base material leaked from a pipe, an inner wall of a reactor, a valve, a welded part, etc. of a factory or a plant may illustrate red color or blue color. Thus, the leakage of the acid material or the base material may be recognized and handled in advance.
