PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide continuous hydrothermal treatment of biomass with a simple constitution.SOLUTION: A biomass treatment device 100 comprises: pressure-maintaining means 210 of maintaining a lignocellulosic biomass at a pressure over the atmospheric pressure; pressurizing means (first pressurizing means 130) of pressurizing the lignocellulosic biomass maintained at a pressure over the atmospheric pressure by the pressure-maintaining means 210; and pressure-keeping and accommodating tank (first pressure-keeping and accommodating tank 120) of accommodating the pressurized lignocellulosic biomass and water in a liquid state at a pressure over the atmospheric pressure with the pressure of the water in a liquid state being kept.
