<p>The present invention relates to an air conditioner and a control method thereof. The air conditioner according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a blowing fan forcibly blowing air; a filter part arranged on a flow path of the air blown by the blowing fan; and a vibration actuator installed on one side of the filter part. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the control method of the air conditioner comprises a first step of positioning a collecting part at the lower side of the filter part of the air conditioner; a second step of vibrating the vibration actuator installed on one side of the filter part; and a third step of returning the collecting part to the original position after separating the collecting part from the lower side of the filter part. According to the present invention, a filter is cleaned by the vibration actuator, thereby reducing noise; the filter can be cleaned by the vibration actuator with a relatively small volume, thereby reducing the volume of the air conditioner having an automatic filter cleaning function; dust generated in a filter cleaning process is collected, thereby preventing the dust from being diffused into parts or an indoor space; and the collected dust can be conveniently removed by a dust collecting box, thereby improving user convenience.</p> |
