The present invention relates to a composition including a Diospyros kaki extract for preventing, reliving, and treating retinal disorders. The composition of the present invention is eco-friendly because the content of the composition is a natural extract as an active ingredient, and is easy to get in daily living. The composition of the present invention protects retinal nerve cells from oxidative stress, suppresses apoptosis by suppressing apoptotic proteins and by suppressing the expression of the apoptotic proteins in vivo and in vitro. Therefore, the composition is useful, when preventing and treating retinal disorders characterized in hard to perfectly cured and managing for a lifetime without side effects.
