The invention relates to a plate-type construction unit comprising a rectangular panel including: a first side; a second side opposite and parallel to the first; an upper side containing a first mortise and tenon sequence according to a first, second or third assembly arrangement; and a lower side containing a second mortise and tenon sequence according to a first, second or third assembly arrangement, such that two or more construction units can be assembled to one another along the edges thereof using a multi-part assembly arrangement comprising two elements for an L-shaped connection, three elements for a T-shaped connection or four elements for a cross-shaped connection. The invention also relates to rigid structure comprising at least four plate-type construction units that form a prefabricated modular construction cell, in which the plate-type construction units are assembled to one another using a first, second or third assembly arrangement along the edges. The invention also relates to a structural construction unit comprising said rigid structure forming a part such as a wall or floor component. The invention further relates to a multi-part assembly method for said rigid structure.
