The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling the position of the end of a strip wound on a winding roll after passing through a lower pinch roll, comprising a first sensor installed at a distance l away toward the rear of the lower pinch roll in the progress direction of the strip to generate and transmit a first sensing signal which senses the end of the strip; a speed sensor installed in one side of the strip to measure and transmit the moving speed (v) of the strip; and a controlling part connected to the first sensor and the speed sensor, and for allowing the end of the strip to be located atθ°in the rotation direction of the winding roll based on the direction of 12 o′clock by controlling the winding roll when the end of the strip is in contact with the upper side of the lower pinch roll. The controlling part is characterized by receiving the first sensing signal and the moving speed (v), and controlling the winding roll when the first sensing signal is received and time (t_1= l/v) passes. |
