<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a formulation, food and drink having the following features: being independent from dietary restriction and administration of drugs; being taken at a large amount at once; providing no burden in daily intake; having excellent safety and taste; improving high blood pressure; and effectively suppressing increment of levels of total cholesterol in blood, neutral fat and blood glucose.SOLUTION: The invention is a formulation, food and drink containing Madeira vine product, in which leaves of Madeira vine are dried while irradiation of microwave under reduced pressure and then crushed with an appropriate crusher, the microwave reduced pressure dried crushed product of the leaves of Madeira vine (Madeira vine microwave reduced pressure dried crushed product) and hot water extract thereof are comprised as active ingredients. The formulation, food and drink containing the Madeira vine product of the invention have a significant improving effect on high blood pressure, and a significant suppressing effect on increment of the levels of total cholesterol in the blood, neutral fat and blood glucose.</p> |
