PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcement structure and a reinforcement method for a columnar structure, which can reduce construction costs by shortening a construction period without making it necessary to excavate peripheral ground of the columnar structure by an excavator and the like, and which can also reduce environmental costs.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a reinforcement structure 1 for a columnar structure, which reinforces the columnar structure such as a column base or a bridge pier 5. The reinforcement structure for the columnar structure includes a reinforcement steel plate 2 that is provided at a predetermined interval with respect to a side wall 5a of the bridge pier 5, and a restraining steel material 3 that is provided in a clearance 4 formed between the side wall 5a of the bridge pier 5 and the reinforcement steel plate 2. The restraining steel material 3 is provided in the clearance 4 by being dropped into the clearance 4 from an upper end 2b of the reinforcement steel plate 2. |
