The device (10) has a holder device (20) comprising two transport elements (21a, 21b) for conveying an object, a transport drive for driving the transport elements and a rotary device (30) for rotating the transport elements about a stationary axis of rotation. The rotary device comprises a rotatable frame (31) to fasten the transport elements at sides of the rotary device. The transport elements are fastened to the rotatable frame in a manner allowing movement. The transport drive is fastened to the rotatable frame in a torque-proof manner.
