This invention relates to oil and gas production, more specifically, to the methods of producing polymer emulsion for downhole operations and mixing degradable (hydrolysable) polymer emulsion with the treatment fluid.

1. A method of treating a formation using at least one polymer hydrolysable in a downhole environment, comprising:
incorporating the at least one polymer into an organic phase, wherein the organic phase comprises an organic solvent, an emulsifier, and a viscosifying agent; mixing the organic phase with a water phase with intense stirring to produce an emulsion at surface conditions, and inducing the emulsion to decompose in downhole conditions to produce droplets of sticky polymer.
