The present invention relates to an adapter assembly for a plug which comprises a first plug adapter coupled with a plug and a plug terminal; a second plug adapter coupled with the first plug adapter and detachably coupled with a plug insert hole of an outlet; a fitting control member formed between the first plug adapter and the second plug adapter to prevent separation therebetween and control contact between the plug terminal and a terminal insertion hole of the outlet; and an elastic fitting member formed in the second plug adapter and fitted into a guide groove of the outlet to guide the conduction position of the plug terminal and the terminal insertion hole of the outlet in the rotation direction of the second plug adapter. Accordingly, even though the outlet is installed in a dark and narrow place, detachment and coupling are easy so that the plug terminal can be accurately positioned and rapidly connected to the terminal insertion hole of the outlet without visual aid, thereby suppressing standby power consumption generated when the plug is put into the outlet for a long time.
