PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a generator for use with an electrosurgical device.SOLUTION: The generator includes: a gain stage electrically disposed between a first voltage rail and a second voltage rail; a voltage source operably coupled to an input of the gain stage; at least one sensor configured to sense an operational parameter of the amplifier and to provide a sensor signal corresponding to the operational parameter; a controller adapted to receive the at least one sensor signal and in response to the signal provide a drive control signal to the voltage source; and an amplifier output configured to supply a corresponding output voltage when an output of the gain stage falls between a voltage of the first voltage rail and a voltage of the second voltage rail, and configured to supply a peak voltage output when the output voltage is greater than the voltage of the first voltage rail or less than the voltage of the second voltage rail. |
