The present invention relates to a method and a system for analyzing an error log through which generation of an error can be promptly recognized and coped with by a developer, by specifying a developer which composed a source code having caused an error when the error is generated in software and notifying the developer of generation of the error. The method is a method of analyzing an error log of software performed on a system for analyzing an error log of software which is developed by distributing the one software to a plurality of developers. The method includes recording code registration information, into metadata storage, including a version of a composed code and an identifier of a developer at a time point when the developer of the code registers the composed code; recording software building information including a list of the codes constituting the software, the version of the codes, and a building version of the software in the metadata storage at a time point when the plurality of codes are built with one piece of software; collecting an error log for the generated error, during the software is executed; extracting a building version of the software and error generation location information from the error log; comparing the building version of the software and the error generation location information with building information of the metadata storage to specify a code related to an error; and comparing a version of the code related to the error with code registration information of the metadata storage to specify a developer who composed the code related to the error. |
