PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a culture medium information registration system and so forth which can accurately specify a colony under various conditions to prevent erroneous detection of a colony count so that the culture medium information can be accurately registered.SOLUTION: A culture medium information registration system S, when a predetermined time passes after culture starts, detects a plurality of colony candidates on the basis of feature quantities of pixels constituting a culture medium image imaged from a film type culture medium 60 and a plurality of threshold values, and specifies a combination satisfying a predetermined conditions and including two colony candidates or more as a colony combination on the basis of a likelihood of each detected colony candidate, which indicates plausibility of the colony, and counts the number of the colony candidates belonging to the specified colony combination as the colony count.
