PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method capable of easily separating and obtaining a reactive lignin derivative from biomass in a high yield, and to provide a lignin resin molding excellent in terms of distortion at the time of flexural rupture thereof.SOLUTION: The method of the present invention for manufacturing a lignin derivative is a manufacturing method of a lignin obtained by decomposing biomass, including a decomposition step of obtaining a decomposition product by placing biomass in the presence of a mixed solvent including water and a phenol and by decomposing these materials at a high temperature under a high pressure, a recovery step of obtaining a solution of phenols including a lignin derivative in the decomposition product obtained from the decomposition step, and a distillation step of distilling off phenols from the phenol solution component obtained from the recovery step. |
