PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a comparative evaluation method of durability of lawn yarn capable of satisfactorily evaluating durability of lawn yarn with respect to deterioration in the process of usage of artificial lawn.SOLUTION: The comparative evaluation method of durability of lawn yarn includes: an abrasion step of iteratively scrubbing lawn yarn of artificial lawn being planted on a base cloth with an abrasion element; a specimen sampling step of sampling a yarn specimen by cutting lawn yarn from the base cloth after the abrasion step; and a tensile strength measuring step of measuring a tensile strength of the yarn specimen sampled in the specimen sampling step. The tensile strength measured in the tensile strength measuring step is used as an evaluation value for comparatively evaluating durability of lawn yarn. The magnitudes of changes in the tensile strengths of the lawn yarn before and after the abrasion step or the tensile strengths of yarn specimens after the abrasion step for different kinds of lawn yarn are compared, thereby quantitatively evaluating the durability of lawn yarn with respect to deterioration in the usage process of artificial lawn. |
