<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that the estimation accuracy of electrical angle lowers as the high frequency voltage signal is made small. <P>SOLUTION: A high frequency voltage signal setting unit 50 sets a high frequency voltage command signal. An operation signal generation unit 32 sets the operation signal g*#(*=u,v,w;#=n,p) of an inverter based on the high frequency voltage command signal. Meanwhile, a highpass filter 62 extracts high frequency current signals idh, iqh from currents id, iq flowing through a motor generator. An outer product operation unit 64 calculates the outer product of the high frequency voltage command signal and the high frequency current signal. Rotation angle θ is operated so that the outer product becomes zero.
