The present invention relates to a system for tracking a stolen vehicle and a method for the same and, more specifically, to a technique for tracking a stolen vehicle using the ID information of a tire pressure sensor. According to the present invention, the system for tracking a stolen vehicle includes: a tire pressure sensor which includes ID information; a sensor information collecting unit which collects the ID information of tire pressure sensors of a vehicle and an adjacent vehicle from the tire pressure sensors; and a stolen vehicle tracking unit which receives the ID information of the tire pressure sensors from the sensor information collecting unit, compares the received ID information of the tire pressure sensors with the ID information of a tire pressure sensor of a stolen vehicle, and finds the current position of the stolen vehicle when the compared ID information correspond to each other. |
