PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surge suppression system which can suppress not only inter-line surge but ground surge without affecting an original signal.SOLUTION: A surge suppression system suppresses surge generated in a drive control system in which an inverter and a motor are connected through a driving signal line and a grounding line for the number of phases. In addition to an inter-line surge suppression section for suppressing inter-line surge generated in the driving signal lines, the surge suppression system is characterized to have the following composition. Namely, the surge suppression system has a ground surge suppression line where a conductor and a shield are located with an insulator therebetween. One end of the conductor is connected to an intermediate level section which acquires an intermediate level of the driving signal of all the driving signal lines, the other end of the conductor is opened electrically, and the shield is connected to a grounding level section in the motor.
