The present invention relates to an electrical connector. A housing (10) forms an outer appearance of the electrical connector and has an internal space (12) inside thereof. An insertion hole (13) is formed such that the internal space (12) is connected to the outside, and a wire (26) passes through the insertion hole (13). A groove portion (14) is formed at an outer side of the housing (10) and a lever (16) is provided therein. The lever (16) is connected to the housing (10) and has a drive protrusion (22) formed at a free end portion (20). A terminal (30) is installed in the internal space (12) and has a base portion (32) exposed out of the housing (10). A first finger (36) and a second finger (46) facing each other are formed integrated with the base portion (32). An interlocking plate (44) is provided at a free end portion of the first finger (36), and a core (28) of an electric wire (26) is positioned between a middle portion of the first finger (36) and a front end of the second finger (26). According to the present invention, since a direction of movements of the lever (16) is designed to be the same as a direction of elastic deformation of the first finger (36), the movements of the first finger (36) can be done more accurately. Also, since the interlocking plate (44) guides the position of the core (28), the electric wire (26) can be correctly coupled to the terminal (30). |
