SEED-COATING COMPOSITION FOR LOW TEMPERATURE APPLICATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a seed-coating composition capable of providing a matrix which entraps an active ingredient, and improves seedling survival by maintaining the active ingredient on the surface of the seed for a period of time. SOLUTION: This seed-coating composition to be applied at a low temperature contains at least one kind of a polymer having (-60)-20 deg.C Tg with the proviso that the Tg of the polymer is less than or equal to the surface temperature of the seed at the time of application.
