<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent composite material that gives a cured product having a low coefficient of thermal expansion and excellent steam barrier property, and to provide a transparent sheet using the transparent composite material. <P>SOLUTION: The transparent composite material contains a transparent resin, glass fiber, a first inorganic filler, and a second inorganic filler. The first inorganic filler is in a flat shape, wherein the average length of the major axis is 50-1,000 μm and the aspect ratio is ≥5. The second inorganic filler is in a flat shape, wherein the average length of the major axis is 10-50 μm and the aspect ratio is ≥3.
