The invention relates to the method for production of descendent plant containing in its genome DNA of Event LY038, where the representative sample of the mentioned Event LY038 is deposited in the American typical culture collection (ATCC) under seed access number of PTA-5623. Furthermore, the invention relates to the method for determination of presence of exogenous DNA-construct in maize tissue sample and to stabile transformed maize plant containing novel exogenous DNA-construct expressing dihydro dipicolinatesynthase, activity of which results in increasing of lysine content in plants or in products of them.
