PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric ceramic having no lead, a ferroelectric phase (tetragonal) region where piezoelectric property is stable over a wide range of temperature, and high piezoelectric strain constant.SOLUTION: A piezoelectric ceramic contains a first component represented by a composition formula Ba(Ti(SnZr))O, and a second component represented by a composition formula Bi(M1M2)O, where M1 is at least one kind of an element group of bivalent cation and M2 is at least one kind of an element group of tetravalent cation and an element group of pentavalent cation, and a, b and c in the composition formula of the first component and d in the composition formula of the second component are in ranges of 0.96≤a<1.04, 0≤b≤0.09, 0≤c≤1.0 and 1/2≤d≤1/3, and the content of the second component is 0.1 to 0.5 mol% based on the first component. There is provided a piezoelectric ceramic in which M1 is at least one kind of Cu, Mg and Zn and M2 is at least one kind of Nb, Sb and Sn. |
