PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device capable of suppressing deterioration in positioning performance of a position, a switching program, and a switching method.SOLUTION: An antenna 20 receives an electric wave transmitted from a GPS satellite. A radio processing unit 21 extracts information for positioning from a signal of the electric wave received by the antenna 20. The positioning unit 22 performs positioning of a position on the basis of the information for positioning extracted by the radio processing unit 21. A transformation circuit 24 incorporates a switching element and transforms supplied power to a predetermined voltage. A switching unit 40 switches the transformation circuit 24 so as to be in an idle state during an extraction period for extracting the information for positioning by the radio processing unit 21.
