PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic field generation device and a magnetic recording medium processing device capable of increasing an output of a disturbance magnetic field and preventing unauthorized acquisition of magnetic data with certainty.SOLUTION: A magnetic field generation device comprises: a first switching part 53 for connecting one end of a coil with a drive power supply part 51, and connecting the other end with a reference potential part 52; a second switching part 54 connecting the other end of the coil with the drive power supply part 51, and connecting one end with the reference potential part 52; a first regeneration current path formation part 55 forming a path of a regeneration current so as to follow the reference potential part, the other end of an inductor, one end of the coil, and the drive power supply part in this order when the first switching part becomes in a conduction state from a non-conduction state; and a second regeneration current path formation part 56 forming the path of the regeneration current so as to follow the reference potential part, the one end of the coil, the coil, the other end of the coil, and the drive power supply part in this order when the second switching part controlled in a complementary manner with the first switching part becomes in the conduction state from the non-conduction state. |
