The present invention relates to a pyrene-based compound and an organic light emitting diode including the same. The organic light emitting diode including the pyrene-based compound has low driving voltage, high current density, excellent color purity and long lifespan, and includes a first electrode; a second electrode oriented to the first electrode; and an organic layer including a light-emitting layer sandwiched between the first and second electrodes. The organic layer includes more than one kind of pyrene-based compound selected from the first through twelve terms of the present specification.
