The invention relates to a motor-vehicle engine (10) including an engine block which receives at least one plate (12) that supports an idler pulley (14) of an accessory belt of said engine, said plate (12) being linked to said block via at least one mobile anchoring point (16) and at least one adjustable anchoring point (18), the position of which can be modified such as to enable the plate (12) to move transversely relative to the axis (A) of the pulley (14) in order to modify the pressure exerted by the pulley (14) on the accessory belt, characterised in that the adjustable anchoring point (18) is attached to the end (20) of a controlled cylinder (22) attached to the engine block (10), in order to enable the tension of the accessory belt to be controlled. |
