The present invention relates to an insulator for an electric precipitator which includes a body part constituting the body of the insulator; leg parts which are integrally extended to the lower part of the body part and boned to the side plate of a precipitating part; a protruding support part which is integrally extended from the center of the end of the leg part to the lower part and inserted into the coupling hole of the side plate of the precipitating part; a protruding edge part which protrudes upwards along the inner edge of the upper part of the body part; and a coupling hole which is formed in the center of the body part and penetrates a support part. The body part has a part excluding the leg parts which is separated from the side plate of the precipitating part, thereby preventing oil mist or dust from being stuck onto the bonding surface between the side plate of the precipitating part and the body part of the insulator, also improving tolerance to an insulation, tolerance to moisture, and tolerance to heat with regard to the insulator used for an electric precipitator, and preventing corona discharge from being diffused into the neighboring area of the side plate of the precipitating part. |
