The gearshift ECU (21): determines whether or not the rotation speed (Ne) of the engine (12) is less than the synchronization rotation speed (Nsyn1) of the input shaft (26), which is determined from the gear ratio (gear change ratio) (γ1) in first speed and the vehicle speed (V), when any of second speed to fourth speed is formed during the stopping of engine (12) operation by an idle stop control (S180); and when the rotation speed (Ne) is determined to be at or above the synchronization rotation speed (Nsyn1), any of the second engagement elements, which are the brake (B1) and the clutches (C2) and (C3), is disengaged, and when the rotation speed (Ne) is determined to be less than the synchronization rotation speed (Nsyn1), any of the second engagement elements, that is, the brake (B1) or a clutch (C2) or (C3) is disengaged. |
