The wheel carrier (1) comprises a base main portion (2) having a first connecting point (3) for wheel bearing and a wheel spindle, and a steering lever (8) whose free end is connected with a second connecting point (9) to form a handlebar. The steering lever has a web-like top flange (16) and a web-like bottom flange (17) between which the widening of lever structure (18) extending from the second connection point to the first connecting point is limited. The lever structure has two window-like openings (19,20).
