PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking device that softens rice to be processible as bread dough, and capable of inhibiting generation of steam.SOLUTION: A cooking device is provided with: a bread case 7 as a container in which rice before gelatinization and water are put; and bread preparation control means for adjusting a heating amount from heating means 8, heating the water in the bread case 7 at a boiling point or lower temperature, heating the water to soften the rice, and kneading the rice after being softened with a bread blade 14 provided in the bread case 7 as bread dough. The water in the bread case 7 is heated at a boiling point or lower temperature to soften the rice for gelatinization or the like, so as to soften the rice before being pulverized to be processible as the bread dough and also to inhibit generation of steam during heating. |
