The dynamo-electric machine has a slip ring assembly with slip-ring groups that are provided with a stator slip ring (12) and a rotor slip ring (11) provided in continuously annular non-cylindrical contact zones on an associated intermediate ring. The intermediate ring is freely rotated with respect to both the stator slip ring and rotor slip ring. Two rotor slip rings are arranged between the two stator slip rings. Each rotor slip ring is arranged at a rotor shaft (3) connected to a main rotor shaft (13). The stator slip rings are mutually varied in axial direction.
