PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator in which the installation space of two pieces of detecting means for detecting the position of a pin can be made small in an advancing/retreating direction of the pin to reduce the size of a housing.SOLUTION: An actuator includes a housing and a lock pin 50 protruding from the outer surface of the housing. The housing accommodates a drive mechanism 100 which advances/retracts the lock pin 50 in the front and back direction, rods 74, 64 (detected members) which move interlockingly with the lock pin 50, and a pin detection device 200 which detects the position of the lock pin 50. The pin detection device 200 includes a switch 210 (detecting means) on the advancing side which detects the rod 74 when the lock pin 50 advances to a predetermined position on the advancing side, and a switch 220 (detecting means) on the retreating side which detects the rod 64 when the lock pin 50 retreats to a predetermined position on the retreating side. Both switches 210, 220 are arranged in parallel with each other in the right and left direction. |
