The present invention relates to an ultraviolet treatment apparatus which treats ballast water for a ship and, more particularly, to an apparatus for the ultraviolet treatment of ballast water which includes a plurality of ultraviolet sensors that measure the strength of ultraviolet radiation emitted from the ultraviolet lamp of the ultraviolet treatment apparatus. According to the present invention, even if one of the ultraviolet sensors is not functioning, the other ultraviolet sensors can be used to operate the ultraviolet treatment apparatus without having to stop operation, and a control unit that controls the entire operation of the ultraviolet treatment apparatus has multiple ultraviolet sensors that calculate the average value of the measured values measured by the plurality of ultraviolet sensors so as to be capable of controlling the operation of the ultraviolet treatment apparatus with greater precision by using the average value. |
