摘要 Periodically determining one or more temperature thresholds and configuration settings attributable to one or more user equipment coupled to a vehicle (610). The one or more determined temperature thresholds and configuration settings are periodically sent to the one or more user equipment in a thermal management scheme message (620). The one or more user equipment are adapted to adjust an operational threshold in response to the received thermal management scheme message (630). The temperature thresholds and configuration settings may be determined by a field failure rate of one or more geographic areas in which the vehicle is located, or be determined by the location the vehicle was sold or is detected to be currently operational, or be determined by comparing a current aging scenario to a predetermined component aging scenario attributable to the user equipment (i.e. component deterioration). Operational thresholds may be adjusted after a change is operational geographic area is detected. The user of network operator may select among one or more operational modes, which may be adapted for seasonal changes in the geographic location. Operational thresholds may be related to triggering cooling of the user equipment (i.e. fan control) or related to processor/clock speed, number of carriers used, the choice of Modulation and Coding Scheme, power, class or rate of operation etc. The determining may be performed by a enodeB or Mobility Management Entity.
