<p>The protein kinase C and casein kinase 2 substrate in neurons (Pacsin) is a subfamily of membrane-binding proteins, participates in vesicle trafficking and cytoskeleton organization. Pacsin 2 expression is significantly upregulated during the repair phase of post ischemia-reperfusion injured (IRI) kidneys, especially on the apical brush border of proximal tubules, which experienced massive damage. Described herein are methods, kits and systems for the diagnosis, selection and treatment of kidney injury and kidney diseases.</p> |
