The sealing arrangement (1) has a crankcase with a flange section (3) with a sealing surface (4) and an oil pan partially formed from a plastic material. The oil pan has another flange section (6) with another sealing surface (16). A spacer (15) is integrally formed with the latter flange section, which is placed such that the latter sealing surface is arranged about a sealing gap distance spaced form the former sealing surface. A hardenable sealant (20) is introduced in a liquid state between the sealing surfaces. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing a sealing arrangement.
