PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a structure which can stably absorb striking energy at a secondary collision.SOLUTION: A steering column 4a is supported by engaging an engaging cut formed in a support bracket 37 with an engaging groove 22 of an engaging capsule 21a supported by and fixed to a vehicle body 15, thereby enabling forward displacement by impact load at a secondary collision. An inclined surface part 50a which is more inclined downwardly toward the front is provided at a rear end face of the engaging capsule 21a. At a rear end edge of the engaging groove 22, a chamfering part 51 is provided between the inclined surface part 50a and the engaging groove 22. |
