A copying machine and a copying method of the copying machine are provided to set a background mode, obtain scanning data of a scanned document and print a background on a following document by using the scanning data as background data. A copying machine includes a scanning unit(120), an input unit(110), a data processor(130), and a printing unit(150). The scanning unit performs a scanning operation. The input unit receives a background setting instruction. When a document is scanned while the background setting instruction is inputted, the data processor uses scanning data of the document as background data and overlaps the background data with scanning data of documents following the document. The printing unit prints the data processed by the data processor. |
