The invention relates to a system for regulating pressure in a fluid supply pipe, comprising a valve actuated by a double-acting piston cylinder. According to the invention, the chamber of the cylinder whose pressure acts on the piston in order to move the rod in the valve closure direction is connected to means for the transmission of the instantaneous hydraulic pressure at one point in the pipe, while the chamber of the cylinder whose pressure acts on the piston in order to move the rod in the valve opening direction is connected to an energy accumulator that stores energy in the form of pressurised gas at a pre-determined pressure P0 which can be regulated.
