A cosmetic cleansing composition, wherein the composition is present in a liquid or gel form and comprises an extract of Radix Glycyrrhiza inflata and one or more surfactants in an amount of from 5% to 50% by weight, based on a total weight of the composition, the one or more surfactants comprising at least 5% by weight of at least one anionic surfactant.
