A diterpene compound represented by formula (VII) is a novel diterpene compound having an excellent skin-whitening effect. The present invention provides: a skin-whitening agent comprising a novel diterpene compound; and a method for producing a novel diterpene compound. A stevia yeast fungus fermentation product can be prepared by carrying out the yeast fungus fermentation of a stevia plant or a stevia plant extract, and the compound can be used as a skin-whitening agent.
