A backlight module and a liquid crystal display device. The backlight module comprises a light strip heat-dissipation piece (3) and a back panel (1). A first fixing hole (31) is provided on the light strip heat-dissipation piece (3). A second fixing hole (11) is provided on the back panel (1). The back panel module also comprises a connector piece (4) and a fastener piece (5). The connector piece (4) is fixed at the second fixing hole (11) of the back panel (1) and extends towards the inner side of the back panel (1). The first fixing hole (31) of the light strip heat-dissipation piece (3) is sleeved onto the connector piece (4). The fastener piece (5) matches with the connector piece (4) to fix the light strip heat-dissipation piece (3) onto the back panel (1). The back panel (1) is capable of meeting external appearance requirements and can serve directly as the rear housing of the liquid crystal display device.
