The present invention relates to a sign-pad device which is capable of supporting a multi-tag function which performs near-field communication within a range of 10 cm using a 13.56 MHz carrier frequency, and a method for controlling the same, more particularly, to an near-field communication (NFC) sign-pad device and a method for controlling the same of which purpose is to improve the convenience of use and to reduce the costs by providing various services using an NFC by supporting a tag function in addition to a signature function by connecting a host device such as payment terminal or POS. Because an existing low-price type sign-pad device provides a service to users by using a separate tag for supporting the NFC, the convenience of use decreases and the contents of tag cannot be modified. Also, the costs for the separate tag is generated. A high-end type sign-pad device which supports the NFC can provide an NFC service with a reader mode or a P2P mode using an NFC controller which generates an RF field, however, the inconvenience for realizing a complicated control program for controlling an NFC controller exists, and the costs can arise because of an expensive MCU. The purpose of the present invention is to provide various additional services to users by enabling modification of contents of a tag memory in a payment terminal whenever it is necessary, by providing a sign-pad device and a method for controlling the same which are capable of supporting a multi-tag function, which can easily use NFC functions, with low costs. |
